Initial letters (acrostic) clues

The first letters of several words spell out the answer.

Take the first letter of each word in part of the clue and you have the answer. Indicators include 'initially', 'at first', 'leaders' and 'heads'. The same idea can use last letters ('finally', 'tails').

Example

Pet, initially, causes all trouble (3)

CAT: The first letters of Causes All Trouble spell CAT, defined by 'pet'.
