What we collect

The clues you submit are sent to our AI provider to produce hints, and stored with their explanations so we can answer the same clue faster next time. Clues are not linked to you.

To enforce fair usage limits we keep a one-way hash of your IP address for up to 30 days. We never store the IP address itself.

Cookies and local storage

We store your spelling preference (UK or US) in a cookie, and your Boosts and display preferences in your browser's local storage. Advertising partners may set their own cookies, but only with your consent.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Unless you accept analytics cookies in the banner, it sets no cookies and receives only basic, cookie-free information about each page view, such as the page visited, your approximate location and your browser type. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
