&lit (all-in-one) clues
The whole clue is both the definition and the wordplay at the same time.
An &lit (short for 'and literally so') is the rarest and most admired clue type. Read one way, the clue is wordplay; read another, the same words define the answer. There's no separate definition to find.
They often end with an exclamation mark. If you've solved the wordplay and can't find a definition, read the whole clue again as a definition.
